Blue Murder Brings In The Viewers

Blue Murder Last night saw ITV1 cop drama Blue Murder win the 9pm ratings battle, with the Caroline Quentin vehicle picking up a peak of 3.6 million adult viewers (an 18.6% audience share).

The show, which stars Quentin as DCI Janine Lewis, had an average of 3.4 million adults hooked throughout its hour and a half running time.

Over on BBC One at 9pm was the raw and disturbing drama series True Dare Kiss, which has a peak adult audience of 2.7 million (a 14.1% share).

BBC Two screened two comedies in the 9pm hour, topical quiz show Mock The Week and sci-fi comedy Hyperdrive.

Mock The Week had a peak of 1.8 million adult viewers, whilst Hyperdrive, starring Nick Frost of Shaun Of The Dead fame, had a peak of one million adults.

Big Brother, on Channel 4 at 9pm, grabbed itself a peak audience of 3.3 million adults (a 16.9% audience share) in the 9pm slot.

Last night’s action packed instalment saw a BBTV news story reveal to the housemates that the £100k prize fund is still up for grabs.

Following straight on from Big Brother on Channel 4 was My Name Is Earl, in which our hero once again tried to right the wrongs of the past.

A peak of 1.7 million adults watched Earl, with an average of 1.5 million sticking with it for its half hour running time.
