Bollore Does Not Expect Two Seats On Board

Vincent Bolloré has told Havas shareholders that he does not expect to win two seats on the Aegis board at their annual shareholder meeting on Wednesday.

Speaking at Havas’ annual shareholder meeting Bolloré said: “We don’t have much hope of being appointed,” although he did add that under British law a shareholder with a stake of more than 5% could call for a new shareholder meeting.

Bolloré has a 29% stake in Aegis (see Bollore Increases Aegis Share Ownership)and a similar stake in Havas. The Aegis board have urged their shareholders to vote against Bolloré’s candidates, Philippe Germond and Roger Hatchuel, on June 14 (see Aegis Board Urge Shareholders To Block Nominations) because of what they see as a conflict of interest.
