Brains Beer To Advertise With SUBtv

Welsh beer brand, Brains has booked a sponsorship package from student union television specialists, SUBtv for this year’s 6 nation rugby championship.

The deal will see Brains enjoy a package comprising of two stages, live matches and rugby programming, and will be broadcast on the SUBtv screen network in universities.

Brains will be allocated 25% of the screen to advertise its product, enabling the Group to focus its regional campaign on specific Student Unions. Cardiff, the University of Wales Institute in Cardiff, Newport, Glamorgan, Swansea and Trinity College in Carmarthen will all display the beer brands message.

In addition, SUBtv has created its own exclusive rugby programming elements, which includes regular updates and trailers for forthcoming matches.

Brains’ credits and messages will be broadcast every hour daily during the entire duration of the 6 Nations programming, for a total of eight weeks with 2 spots per hour on match days.

Commenting on the deal, Peter Milers, chief executive of SUBtv said: “We’re delighted that Brains has recognised the importance of this captive rugby watching audience. The brand will benefit from the great attention and immense enthusiasm and loyalty that the 6 Nations is generating within the sports mad youth market.”
