Carat Signs ZenithOptimedia Man For Research Role

Carat Logo Carat International has successfully poached Anthony Jones, ZenithOptimedia’s worldwide research director to head up its Insight division, playing a key role with some of the company’s high-profile global clients, including Vodafone, Renault, Philips, and Pernod Ricard.

The move will see Jones end a seven and a half year career with ZenithOptimedia, where he has held development responsibility for the company’s tools and international research programmes.

The new role will see the research boss champion research best practice around the Carat network, as well as playing a lead role in the development of new research products and services.

Jones’ appointment follows the departure of Phil Gullen who, after 13 years at Carat, has left the company to develop other business interests. Based at Carat International’s London HQ, the new Insight head will report to Susannah Outfin, CEO of Carat International.

Commenting on the appointment, Outfin said: “We are committed to providing the best possible services to our clients and always look to invest in the best talent to deliver this. Hiring someone of Anthony’s calibre and experience is an indication of our commitment to capitalise on and develop the market-leading research products and services already available to our clients.”

Jones added: “I am tremendously excited by the opportunity to step into Phil’s shoes. Carat has always had an excellent research reputation and I’m really looking forward to adding my ideas and experiences to the business.”

Prior to working with ZenithOptimedia, Jones held positions with CIA, setting-up and running CIA MediaLab, BSB Dorland, the UK’s Radio Marking Bureau and Walkers Crisps. He will take up his new role with Carat in mid-July.
