Spain’s disputed law on digital TV is likely to be approved by the European Commission this week, following changes made by the Spanish Government to the text. The amendments remove obstacles which had hindered the commercial development of Spain’s digital TV providers.
Overall it was a poor month for the national newspaper industry with just five titles showing year on year increases in readership – four of these were broadsheets.
