Pre-tax profits for Thames TV, due out on Wednesday, have been forecast at £45m before write-downs. It is also predicted that publisher of the Financial Times, the Pearson Group, will make a bid for Thames in the near future, estimated at £100m.
Although Northern & Shell has said that it is too early to reveal a first issue sales figure for its recently launched glossy, OK!, it is estimating the figure to be in the region of 400,000 on a print-run of 750,000.

Aspen Communications has sold its 13% stake in the GWR Group, which has a significant interest in Classic FM, for an estimated £1.9m. Some of the proceeds of the sale will be used for the expansion of Aspen’s core printing, marketing and media activities.
