Home Counties Newspaper Holdings announced results for the six months to June 30. Pre-tax profits increased five fold to £976,000 from £155,000. Turnover was up slightly from £12.1m to £13.2m. The result was helped by an exceptional gain from the sale of the share in Mid Anglia Radio to GWR for £316,000.
Adscene Group has announced annual results for the year ending May 31. Pre- tax profits were up by 45% from £2.1m to £3.05m. This result was helped by a strong performance from the publishing side. Turnover of the group rose 13% to £15.8m.
