CanWest Global Communications, a Canadian broadcasting group has said it will bid for the Channel 5 licence. It has a new investor in its consortium but no details will be available until the deadline for bids, May 2.

MTV-Europe has signed an agreement with Ray-Ban to run its new ad campaign on MTV. The campaign, which comprises 100 spots will reach 31 million young people throughout Europe, claim MTV. Running from April 22, the campaign is Ray-Ban’s first venture onto MTV.
