Managing director of Tyne Tees Television, Ian Ritchie is to leave the company this week following allegations that Yorkshire TV is considering closing down all Tyne Tees operations. Ritchie will be replaced by John Calvert who is currently group director of personnel with the company.

Abbott Mead Vickers has just released details of its full year profits to 31 December 1992, with the pre-tax result falling from last year’s £5.02m to £4.72m. Turnover rose to £167.8m and earnings per share fell to 18.71p from 22.09p. Final dividends stood at 6.3p leaving the figure for the year at 9.3p.
