Cavai makes host of senior hires

Cavai, a ‘conversational advertising’ platform, has announced that Ed Preedy, Fabian Bjørne-Larsen, Dan Jones, George Seed and Julia Smith will be joining the global team.

With the hires in place, the chatbot business will be offering its programmatically enabled creative technology in the UK while expanding on the current footprint across Nordics and Europe.

Ed Preedy will be joining as global CRO to lead the commercial team; Fabian Bjørne-Larsen joines as head of creative; Dan Jones joins as commercial director; George Seed joins as VP of product; while Julia Smith has been hired as PR director.

The company said the expansion is a direct response to the “significant” increase in demand by advertisers to be able to create conversational-style ads delivered in a chatbot-like experience on desktop and mobile.

“The appointment of Ed, Fabian, Dan, George and Julia demonstrates our commitment to launching into the UK market and beyond,” said Steffen Svartberg, Cavai, CEO.

“We needed a senior team to work with clients to solve the problem of low engagement and to show them how they can generate high interaction rates and high dwell-times.”
