Centaur Predicts Revenue Rise Of 7%

Specialist business publishing and information company, Centaur Holdings, expects to see a rise in overall revenues of 7% for the six months ended 31st December 2005, compared to the same period last year.

According to the company’s trading statement, the growth has been led by increased advertising revenues, in particular from magazine display advertising and online recruitment advertising in the legal and financial sectors.

The company completed two acquisitions within the time period, purchasing two logistics titles and an associated awards event from UK Transport Press as well as the fortnightly magazine The Recruiter from Redactive Media Group Limited for £4 million (see Centaur Purchases Recruiter Magazine For £4 Million).

Centaur notes that, due to seasonal factors, it earns the majority of its profits in the period from February to June each year, claiming that the expected strong first-half performance cannot be taken as an indicator of full year results.

Despite this, the company remains optimistic about the coming year, with profits expected to be in line with market estimates.

Centaur will release its interim results on 10th March 2006.
