Choice FM Signs Major Deal With Viacom Outdoor

Choice FM Logo Choice FM, the urban radio station owned by GCap Media, has signed a six-figure deal with Viacom Outdoor to promote the station at the Notting Hill Carnival in London.

The outdoor ad company, which specialises in transport advertising, will help the radio station to target main commuter routes at the street party by taking over sites at London Underground stations Notting Hill Gate and Ladbroke Grove. The campaign also includes posters that run the whole length of the escalators.

Choice FM will also run banners along the bridges and walkways by Notting Hill Gate station and on Portobello Road and Ladbroke Grove bridges around the carnival route.

Stephen Fuller, commercial group head at GCap Media, said: “To firmly establish Choice FM as the number one urban station in the UK it is imperative that we have a strong presence at the biggest street carnival in Europe. The aim is to generate awareness, as well as super-serving our core audience while extending our appeal to all fans of urban music.

“By securing specialist sites with London Underground on areas such as the walkways and bridges around the carnival, the Choice FM brand will be fully integrated into the festival.”

Choice FM will be broadcasting live from the carnival in August, which attracted more than a million people last year.
