Dragons’ Den Beaten By Royals and Murder

Watching Tv It was the last in the current series of Dragons’ Den last night, but the entrepreneurial reality show was beaten in the ratings battle by both BBC One and ITV1.

The show had a peak audience of 3.9 million adults in its 9pm slot, a 14.2% share of the audience, and an average of three million adults stuck with it for its hour duration.

Over on BBC One at 9pm was Monarchy: The Royal Family At Work, which chronicles the life of the Royal Family over a year.

The Queen-tastic documentary had a peak of 5.3 million adult viewers (a 23.7% share).

On ITV1 at the same time was Blue Murder, the detective drama starring Caroline Quentin as DCI Janine Lewis.

Last night’s instalment picked up a peak of 6.5 million adults (a 29% share) and had an average of 5.8 million adults glued to their screens for its hour and a half running time.
