eBay creates UK, Ireland and EMEA advertising hub

eBay creates UK, Ireland and EMEA advertising hub

EBay Logo Online auction site eBay has appointed its first director of advertising partnerships for the combined territories of the UK, Ireland and pan-EMEA.

The move – part of the firm’s plans to bolster third-party revenue deals – sees Philip Rinn, formerly director of advertising partnerships for Ebay Advertising International, take on the role.

Rinn will lead the auction giant’s strategy to develop new deals with third parties as well as manage already existing ones.

Rinn said: “With the strong growth we’re seeing in the UK as the advertising-led market in Europe, eBay has decided to create one hub for the UK, Ireland and pan-EMEA business in London.

“As the online advertising market matures, our goal is to make it easier for brands to reach an audience that’s buying, searching and browsing specific products online, while pursuing additional revenues from advertising partnerships.”
