The use of dial-up by European businesses is set to fall as they increasingly turn to high-speed, broadband platforms for their internet connection, according to a new report from IDC.
The decline in the use of dial-up connections will be most acute among medium-sized and large businesses, of more than fifty employees, according to the study.
At the same time, the market is expected to see a gradual decline in the number of leased line internet connections (-4% CAGR) over the forecast period, as a growing number of businesses replace traditional leased line services with high-capacity broadband alternatives.
