Evening Standard Appoints New Ad Director

The Evening Standard has appointed Rosemary Gorman as its new advertising sales director following the departure of Alan Brydon.

Gorman, head of client sales at the Daily Mail since 1999, began her career on the agency side, becoming head of planning and managing partner at Zenith Media prior to her taking up the position at the Mail.

The Standard has also changed its structure for classified and digital revenues with Mike Rowley, classified and digital advertisement director, being given the new role of digital director. Rowley will report to managing director Bert Hardy and the role will involve maximising ad revenues and developing the Standard’s websites.

Responsibility for classified revenues will go to Chris Law, who joins from the Mail on Sunday.
