Exterion Media has announced the appointment of Alex Russell as client sales director and Sharon Wright as head of digital sales.
Russell, who will be responsible for the development of long term senior client relationships, joins from Time Inc where she served as head of client partnerships.
She also led the commercial franchise development for the fashion, lifestyle and homes brands.
Meanwhile, Wright will lead Exterion’s growing digital portfolio and drive digital revenues. She joins from Zenith where she served as planning director, and has previously held roles at ESI Media and Channel 5.
Wright was also co-chair of the AOP Commercial Committee and, most recently, spoke at the UK Brand Safety Summit.
“Alex and Sharon are joining at an exciting time for the company as we ramp up our strategy to drive commercial growth and collaboration across teams – we’re thrilled to have them on board,” said Nigel Clarkson, who was recently appointed Exterion’s chief revenue officer.
“Alex brings with her a wealth of experience from both media owner and media agency side – perfect to drive our direct client relationships team. With thousands of clients in our business, it is important we have a strong team and strategy to help brands understand how best to deliver results in OOH and take advantage of our incredible data and insights.
“Sharon is joining at a crucial point in DOOH’s evolution and will be playing a vital role in our digital strategy as our digital capabilities and products continue to grow apace. Also, with media agency and media owner experience, Sharon is another great hire in the digital space – following Andrea Marsh’s appointment in January to head of digital strategy.”
