F-Word Returns To Spearhead Channel 4’s Summer

Channel 4 Logo Channel 4 is to litter the airwaves with swearwords this summer, as foul-mouthed chef Gordon Ramsay returns with the F-Word, while new animation show Modern Toss brings its own brand of expletive-fueled comedy to the channel’s summer schedule.

As in previous series, Ramsay’s new programme will feature culinary tips, as well as consumer stories telling viewers the truth behind the food on their shopping baskets.

Meanwhile, Modern Toss graduates from Channel 4’s Comedy Lab, featuring performances from The Office star Mackenzie Crook; Dennis Pennis creator, Paul Kaye; and Simon Greenall, whose previous credits include Alan Partridge.

Ricky Gervais will also return to the channel, meeting more of his comedy heroes in a brand new four-part series, following on from his quizzing of Curb Your Enthusiasm creator, Larry David.

Elsewhere, a satirical take on the incumbent England coach in Sven: The Coach, His Cash and His Lovers due to air on eve of the World Cup Finals, mixing interviews and archive footage for a tongue in cheek retrospective of the England manager’s career.

Channel 4’s tradition of challenging reality TV also shines through in this year’s summer schedule, as Ian Wright’s Fitter Kids sees the football legend attempt to improve the health of eight unfit London teenagers within six months.

Meanwhile, the broadcaster returns to school following the success of Jamie’s School Dinners, with Admission Impossible, a programme following the struggles and sacrifices of parents fighting for the best education for their children. Gifted Kids continues the education focus charting the the lives of eight nauseatingly talented children.
