Future Advertising Revenues Up 10%

Future Publishing, the international special interest consumer magazine group, has announced a 10% increase in advertising revenues in the last 12 months.

In the year to September 2004 the company’s adjusted operating profit increased by 1% on 2003, going up to £23.6m, while adjusted pre-tax profit rose by 1% to £23.8m. Circulation revenue also rose by 6%.

Chief Executive, Greg Ingham said: “I am delighted to report good trading progress, a successful change of financial year, and a 20% increase in the level of dividend. The year to 30th September has been a good one for Fortune. We have strengthened the management team in our largest business, the UK, where trading has exceeded our previous expectation.”

The company stated that trading has been successful in recent months, with Future acquiring and launching a number of new titles, including last months purchase of Beach Magazines and Publishing Ltd.

In under four years Future’s revenues have grown by 33% and profits have increased by 136%. The results put Future amongst the fastest growing UK media companies.
