Future Network Revenue Up 7% In Q1

International consumer magazine company, The Future Network, today announced that revenue for the first quarter was up 7%, reflecting the positive impact of the group’s growing entertainment section which acquired leading US guitar magazines last autumn.

Circulation revenue, which accounted for 69% of total group revenue last year, grew by 8% for the period ending 31 March 2004, and advertising revenue was up by 7%, still slightly below expectations.

In the UK, newsstand sales were down slightly for the quarter and in the US, after a strong 2003, trading was quieter than expected.

The Group’s results for the half-year to 30 June 2004 are expected to be announced on Tuesday 14 September 2004.
