Ghazal Gets Booted Off The Apprentice

Sir Alan Last night saw Ghazal fired from The Apprentice with a peak of six million adults watching the contestants trying to schmooze their way into Sir Alan’s good books.

The BBC One show had an average audience of 5.4 million adults (a 24.5% share) across its hour long running time.

On at 9pm, The Apprentice went head-to-head with ITV1’s one-off comedy drama The Good Samaritan, starring affable funster Shane Richie as Brian Guest, a genuinely nice guy seemingly unable to avoid trouble.

The Good Samaritan brought in a peak audience of 4.9 million adult viewers, and managed an average of 4.2 across its hour and a half running time.

Over on Channel 4 at 9pm, the irrepressible Kevin McCloud hosted Grand Designs where he met Bill Bradley and his wife Sarah, who planned to build two identical timber houses in south London.

The popular property show picked up an average audience of 3.3 million adults (a 14.9% share) and was easily Channel 4’s most watched show of the evening.
