Ghostboat Conclusion Sinks Competition From BBC

Ghostboat The concluding half of ITV’s Ghostboat, starring David Jason, saw the broadcaster sink competition from BBC One’s Dalziel and Pascoe last night, as 7.1 million adults tuned in on average compared with the BBC’s 5.7 million.

ITV also outperformed the BBC in soap programming, with the broadcaster’s double bill of Coronation Street drawing audiences of 10.2 million and 9.6 million for the first and second episodes respectively. The BBC’s Eastenders scored 9.2 million meanwhile, sandwiched between the ITV broadcasts.

Elsewhere, Channel 4’s Help Me To Speak performed well, drawing 1.5 million adults on average, followed by US medical drama ER, which increased audiences slightly to 1.6 million.

Five’s US drama Prison Break delivered 1.2 million meanwhile, performing well despite competition from ER and the final half hour of Ghostboat.
