Hartley Appointed Marketing Services Director Of Marketforce

IPV Media Logo Christina Hartley, the current IPC Media group ad marketing director, has been appointed as marketing services director of newstrade sales, marketing and distribution company, Marketforce.

The new position will see Hartley lead a team providing top level market insight to retail customers, publisher clients and internal Marketforce departments, as well as sitting on the Marketforce Board.

Commenting on the appointment Stephen Hirst, managing director of Marketforce said: “This is a pivotal role for Marketforce. In such a dynamic retail environment exploiting data and sourcing new streams of information are increasingly driving sales, improving efficiency and strengthening our competitive position.”

He continued: “Christina is the perfect candidate to take our consumer insights, information services and category management programme to the next level.”

Consumer insight is more important than ever for media owners, and while I’m sorry to be to be leaving my team behind, the challenge was too good to resist!”

Stephen Hirst was appointed to the role of managing director of Marketforce in November last year, taking over from David Stam at the beginning of this month (see IPC Picks New Boss For Marketforce).

In the role, Hirst oversees all aspects of IPC’s magazine distribution, alongside several other publishing clients, including Hachette Filipacchi, Reed Business Information and Future Publishing.

Outgoing Marketforce MD David Stam will continue to provide industry consultancy to IPC following his departure, as well as representing the company’s interests on industry committees.
