Havas Q3 Revenues Up 7.3%

Havas has announced that its revenues for the third quarter of the year have risen 7.3% year on year to €368 million (£258 million).

There was improvement in organic growth, at 9.3% in Q3, after 5.4% in Q2, which rose to 6.0% for the first nine months of 2007.

Net new businesss continued its positive trend, reaching €1,498 million over the first nine months of 2007.

The group said that Europe, excluding France and Great Britain, achieved strong double-digit growth, due largely to media expertise in the southern European countries and Germany, and to advertising especially in Spain and Italy.

It added that the excellent performance of France was driven by corporate communications and the digital sector, whilst Great Britain strengthened its growth with a strong performance from advertising, direct and digital businesses.

Havas also said that the outstanding performance of the North America region was due to the sharp acceleration of its activities, especially in the digital sector for Euro RSCG 4D Chicago and New York.

In the rest of the world, Q3 was the third consecutive quarter of double-digit growth. In Asia Pacific, growth was driven by India, Australia, Singapore, Japan and Korea where its businesses performed well. Growth in Latin America is still very high in most countries it operates in.

Fernando Rodés Vilà, CEO of the Havas Group, said: “We are very happy with our growth in Q3, and feel all the more comfortable about achieving our objectives for the full year 2007.”
