Heart Moves Emma B To Drivetime

ITV News Channel Logo Heart 106.2 has moved Sunday evening host Emma B to its drivetime show, pairing her with Greg Burns to co-host the show from 3 January. The move will see Emma B take to the air on the same day as London rival Capital FM relaunches.

The new drivetime presenter joined Heart earlier this year, but will now replace former drivetime co-host Erika North. North will stay with the show until Emma B takes over her role in January.

Commenting on the presenter reshuffle, Mark Browning, programme director at Heart, said: “Heart 106.2 is number one in London because it connects very closely with the lives and lifestyles of our listeners and, as someone who is passionate about music and a 32-year-old mum, Emma will cement this relationship even further.”

In addition to her role at Heart, Emma B holds several positions in national TV, such as her role presenting ITV’s The Base. The new presenter’s previous radio experience includes a stint at Radio 1, where she hosted an afternoon show.

Emma B’s appointment is the second high profile presenter change for Heart in recent months, following the station’s decision to ditch Jono Coleman as its breakfast presenter earlier this year to install Jamie Theakston at the helm (see Heart Ditches Coleman In Battle For London Supremacy).
