IAB to educate on effective use of online video

The IAB is set to launch a Video Steering Group in the new year to help educate the market on the effective use online video.

The group will be tasked with setting the agenda and objectives of the IAB’s video projects and initiatives, and will meet every six weeks.

The IAB said video will be a key focus for its priorities in 2017, following the news that video spend grew by 69% in the first half of 2016.

The group hopes to educate the UK market and prove the effectiveness of video as a brand medium.

Current members include InSkin Media, Teads, Videology, Barclays, Mediacom, Yahoo, Google, Total Media, Dentsu Aegis, Twitter, Starcom & MediavestSpark, Yume, and Unruly.
