Infographic: Who’s watching Wimbledon?

While football is definitely not coming home, perhaps there is new hope for the nation with start of Wimbledon today.

To mark the start of this year’s tournament, Kantar Media has prepared an exclusive infographic which reveals key insights into Britain’s tennis fans.

Following last year’s win by Andy Murray tennis spirits have been high, with over two million adults having played tennis in the last year.

While Murray is a clear favourite to watch among us Brits, a significant number said that they like to keep up with Spanish champion Rafael Nadal’s matches.

The findings, taken from the TGI study, also reveal the kinds of people who play tennis, how they keep up to date with the latest matches and the most popular sports among tennis lovers.
