IPC Extends Now Online

Now Cover IPC Connect, the women’s weekly division of IPC Media, has extended its weekly celebrity magazine to the web, in order to refocus the publisher’s online efforts.

Nowmagazine.co.uk, the online version of the magazine, will be edited by Beverley Watts and carry UK and US celeb news and gossip, with the Stateside material coming from parent company Time Inc’s sister brand, People.

The website launch follows the announcement last week of another Now spin-off, Reality TV Now, a special issue devoted to Reality TV and the latest issue in the Now Specials Series. Other titles in the Now Specials Series include Teen Now, Diet Now and Style Now.

The site will also feature a fashion section including shopping advice as well as details on what celebrities are wearing; a beauty section offering make-up tips; and a food section in which celebrities reveal their favourite recipes.

Nowmagazine.co.uk will also carry daily horoscopes and competitions and a section in which users can email questions to their favourite celebrities.

Now publishing director, Andrew Sumner, said: “Now is famed for its finger-on-the-pulse, cutting-edge celebrity news and we know that our readers are ready and waiting to get their regular fix of Now online. Nowmagazine.co.uk is the perfect daily complement to their weekly dose of Now.”
