IPC Promotes Booker

IPC Media IPC Country & Leisure Media (CALM) has announced the promotion of Adrian Booker to associate publisher of its sports titles.

Booker joined IPC Media in 2000 as the first intake of the graduate training scheme run by the UK’s magazine distribution company, Marketforce.

He worked as a circulation executive within CALM for two years before moving to IPC ignite! as deputy circulation manager where he was also a member of the Nuts launch team.

Booker returned to the CALM portfolio in April 2005 in his current role as marketing manager of sports titles including Rugby World, Golf Monthly, Shoot Monthly and World Soccer.

Booker said: “I’m delighted to be given this fantastic opportunity to work with such a talented and successful team on what are two iconic football brands.

“Some big challenges lie ahead in a highly competitive and event driven market and I’m thrilled at the prospect of getting to grips with it.”

Publishing director Hamish Dawson added: “Adrian’s experience in Marketforce, coupled with his proven ability as a marketeer has already produced great results with the football brands in 2006.

“The challenge is to maintain the momentum in 2007 and beyond both in print and on-line, and I’m also pleased to be able to call on Adrian’s skills for the other titles in the sport portfolio.”
