IPC Reshuffles Ad Management For Greater Unity

IPC Logo IPC Media has reshuffled its group advertising management, creating two new senior directorships to unite the strategic and trading units of the company.

The new roles, of ad director for marketing and strategy, and ad director for trading, will report directly to group advertising director, Caroline McDevitt.

Neil Perkin is named ad director for marketing and strategy, building on his former role as ad director with responsibility for IPC’s key accounts and the tx/Connect divisional trading teams. Perkin will lead the development of the over-arching ad marketing strategy for the company, working closely with other ad directors through the IPC Advertising Board.

The new role will also see Perkin charged with developing ad opportunities outside of the traditional display arena, with an emphasis on creative collaboration with clients using the company’s newly created Creative Solutions division.

Commenting on Perkin’s appointment, McDevitt said: “Neil will provide the resource and support to ensure that IPC provides leading edge creative ad solutions to our diverse and highly valued ad clients. He has great experience across a range of key ad functions within IPC and his new role will allow a committed focus on driving our sales and marketing strategy.”

The restructuring also sees Alison Deas named ad director for trading, having formerly held the position of key accounts director. The new role will give Deas overall responsibility for developing centralised advertising teams in Business Development, Key Accounts, Agency Central Sales and Regional Sales.

McDevitt added: “Alison will lead the development of these crucial teams, furthering the strong relationships we already have with our key agency and advertising partners.”

Meanwhile, IPC Connect ad director, Kate Mackenzie, and IPC tx ad director, Marc Beeney, are both promoted to take full responsibility for their divisional trading teams.

The moves mark McDevitt’s first significant changes since joining IPC in May (see
