ITV Dominates As Celeb Contestant Takes A Tumble

Ant And Dec In The Jungle ITV dominated prime time viewing last night, with a massive 11 million adult viewers flocking to the evening’s first episode of Coronation Street, before an audience of 10.5 million tuned in to the second episode.

The broadcaster also scored highly with I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, drawing an average of 9.1 million adult viewers to the programme, which saw contestant Kimberley Davies injured whilst attempting her bush tucker trial.

Elsewhere, BBC One saw a respectable 9.7 million tune in to Eastenders, although the remainder of the evening’s programming failed to maintain such high viewing figures, with A Midsummer Night’s Dream attracting an average of just 3.4 million.

Channel 4’s Time Team Special provided a highlight to the broadcaster’s schedule, drawing an average audience of 2.3 million, while Five saw its largest success with new crime-based drama, Murder Prevention, notching up audiences of 1.2 million.
