ITV Floored By BBC Drama Double Bill

Dalziel And Pascoe The BBC continued to dominate primetime schedules last night, with Holby City and Dalziel and Pascoe conspiring to create a miserable evening for ITV’s competing programmes.

The Corporation drew 6.9 million adult viewers on average with Holby City, followed by 6.6 million for Dalziel and Pascoe, trouncing ITV1’s coverage of the Champions’ League and Take My Mother In Law.

The commercial giant’s football coverage notched up an adult audience of just 2.9 million, while reality show Take My Mother In Law delivered a disappointing 1.8 million.

Meanwhile, Channel 4’s reality double bill performed better, as 1.9 million tuned in for Sarah Beeny’s Streets Ahead, followed by just under 2 million for That’ll Teach ‘Em.

Elsewhere, Five delivered an admirable performance, with just under 3 million tuning in for CSI:Crime Scene Investigation, followed by 2.6 million for CSI:Miami, despite the second programme being a repeat.
