ITV Unveils Further Management Moves

ITV Logo ITV has made two senior sales appointments as part of its ongoing management reshuffle, promoting Gary Digby as managing director of ITV Sales, and appointing Clare Salmon as new director of marketing and commercial strategy.

The new role will see Digby take responsibility for all aspects of ITV’s sales operations and reporting directly to the broadcaster’s commercial director, Ian McCulloch. Meanwhile, Salmon’s new position will see her reporting in to the company’s new commercial division.

In her new capacity, Salmon will take overall charge of ITV’s on and off air marketing activity, including programme publicity.

Digby’s senior team comprises sales director Simon Lent, brand partnership director Gary Knight, director of sales operations Jill Kerslake, and David Croft as director of regional sales. Justin Sampson, director of customer relationship marketing will work alongside Digby, reporting to Ian McCulloch to underline the company’s focus on strong advertiser relationships.

Elsewhere, Andy Bagnall will become ITV’s director of business development, reporting directly to Ian McCulloch and working to build on Bagnall’s regulatory expertise and focus on revenue growth.

ITV’s research team will now report directly to the McCullock while the company begins the search for a new director of research.

The latest management reshuffle follows ITV’s reorganisation of its top team last month. The company’s revamped management line up saw Mick Desmond, chief executive of ITV Broadcasting, part company with the business just weeks after sales director Graham Duff resigned his post. ITV claimed the reshuffle would enable it to “position itself for growth in the digital age” and focus more closely on the needs of viewers and advertisers (see Desmond To Leave ITV In Management Overhaul).

Commenting on the latest round of personnel moves, McCulloch said: “The changes we have put in place recognise the considerable ability and contribution of the people involved. This team has the experience and expertise to drive our key objective of putting the advertiser at the heart of our operation.

“Television is the most powerful communication medium and it’s our intention to make sure that ITV delivers maximum value to its customers.”
