Liverpool Vs Chelsea Lures Over 7.4 Million To ITV1

Dirk Kuyt The first leg of the Champion’s League semi-final between Liverpool and Chelsea was a big winner for ITV1 last night, attracting an average of over 7.4 million adults for the game’s coverage.

The channel took a 33.2% audience share between 7.30pm and 10pm, with Chelsea handed a vital lifeline as the score went 1-1 following a disastrous own goal in the fifth minute of injury time.

Over on BBC One, the blossoming romance between Walford’s couple of the year, Heather and Minty, drew over 7.6 million (38.5%) to EastEnders between 7.30pm and 8pm.

Following that on the channel, Holby City and Waking The Dead drew over five million and over 5.7 million respectively.

Gok Wan’s tried and tested formula in How To Look Good Naked attracted 2.1 million (9.2%) to Channel 4, whilst Heather Mills: What Really Happened proved to be the most popular show for the station last night, luring over 2.6 million (16%) between 10pm and 11pm.
