Look Launches New Website

Look.co.uk IPC’s weekly fashion magazine Look has unveiled a new website offering up-to-the-minute fashion, beauty and celebrity style.

Updated daily, www.look.co.uk will feature online shopping from many of the leading retailers and brands and a ‘Shopping list’ functionality allowing visitors to save and shop later, email to a friend or print off to take shopping.

Look online editor Jayne Cherrington-Cook has eight years’ experience editing online, working for brands such as Yahoo and AOL.

She said: “Look.co.uk will be the instant expert guide to what’s hot in-store for fashion hungry surfers. Updated daily – and with a mixture of advice and user tips – the site will showcase the must-have clothes, and track down all the best fashion and beauty deals to ensure users get the latest celebrity look.”

Look publishing director Julie Lavington added: “This new site is an incredibly exciting development for the Look brand. We know the magazine drives hundreds of thousands of UK women in store every week, and we know that Look readers are heavy users of the internet. 77% of them access the web every day, and of those, over 80% are already researching and buying clothes online.”

The latest ABC figures, for July to December 2007, show that the print version of Look had a total circulation of 305,603 copies (see ABC Results Jul-Dec 2007: Women’s Weeklies See Sizeable Declines With Few Bucking The Trend).
