Magic Launches Largest Cash Giveaway With £1 Million Ad

Magic Ad Emap’s flagship London station, Magic 105.4, is to launch its biggest ever cash giveaway this Friday, with a £1 million TV campaign backing the initiative.

The campaign’s 30 second commercial, created by St Luke’s, will be shown across ITV, Channel 4, Five and Emap’s Magic TV Channel, with additional support from bus sides and posters.

Print ads in the Metro and the Evening Standard will also boost awareness amongst key London audiences, while an online campaign and viral element will also feature in the activity.

The competition itself, dubbed Music is Money, will run each weekday morning as part of Neil Fox’s breakfast show, offering listeners the chance to win £10,000 each day by answering music-related questions.

Andria Vidler, managing director of Magic 105.4, explained the promotion’s appeal, stating: “The campaign will put a smile on your face and reinforce Magic’s credentials of having the best music and the best cash prizes in the London marketplace.”

Neil Henderson, managing director at St Luke’s, said the campaign, which features a guest appearance from a grizzly bear, would prove a hit with audiences. “People love music trivia, winning money and animals acting like humans,” he said. “This ad gives them a triple whammy.”
