Manchester City’s mission to win in content

Manchester City’s mission to win in content

Join The Future of Media Manchester in September to explore how Manchester City, the Premier League-winning football club, is not only competing with other teams but also with content producers, TV networks and streaming giants.

Just as winning the biggest trophies is a team effort, so is the creation of an immersive behind-the-scenes documentary.

The six-part series Together: Treble Winners was filmed and produced by City Studios, Manchester City Football Club’s in-house creative content and production hub. This makes Manchester City the first club to produce such content in-house and sell it to Netflix.

Find out from Gavin Johnson and James Wilkins, media director and executive creative director respectively at City Football Group, how media is becoming the new battleground for football clubs.

The session will offer first-hand access to the story, from concept development and its alignment with Manchester City’s media strategy to the commercial opportunities that the team’s success is creating as the show reaches more people across continents.

The Future of Media Manchester takes place on 26 September at the Royal Northern College of Music.
