Mark Goodier To Join Smooth For Relaunch

Mark Goodier Former Radio 1 DJ Mark Goodier is joining Smooth Radio to present the station’s mid-morning show from March 26.

GMG Radio’s Smooth FM changes its name to Smooth Radio on March 26 and Goodier is just one of several presenters lined up for the relaunch (see Collins Goes From Virgin To Smooth).

He will be on air from 10am to 1pm, with the show’s current presenter, Kevin Greening, moving to weekday afternoons.

Goodier said: “I’ve had lots of offers to return to a daily show over the years but this was much more tempting than the rest.”

He has previously presented Radio 1’s breakfast and drivetime shows, as well as the Classical Chart for Classical FM and the Real Top 40 on Real Radio.

In addition, Goodier has also become a regular voice on Radio 2 and runs the production company Wise Buddha.

At the last RAJARs, Smooth FM London had a weekly reach of 496,000, whilst the Capital’s most popular station, Heart 106.2 FM had a weekly reach of 1.8 million.
