Maxus UK’s managing partner, Clare Chapman, has been promoted to head of planning. She replaces Jen Smith who became global creative director in September.
In her new role, Chapman will be responsible for understanding how planners can use data more effectively. She will report to chief strategy officer Alex Steer and work alongside Smith and Tom Dunn, head of futures.
Steer said: “Clare is an exceptional talent who brings great experience to the position as well as invaluable client relationships. She is the perfect fit for this role and will be key in maintaining Maxus’s position leading change for clients.”
Chapman joined Maxus as a managing partner in September 2014 from Havas Media where she was client director.
She said: “The key role for planners is to understand what drives consumer behaviour towards brands, then go above and beyond the obvious to create communications strategies that make real change.
“The data available to us has never been so plentiful or detailed, and it is essential that we make sure that we are using it in the right way. I am extremely excited to be taking on this challenge and ensuring that Maxus continues to offer the best in class planning solutions for its clients.”
