Mindshare UK promotes Ruth Zohrer to head of planning

Mindshare’s head of programmatic marketing, Ruth Zohrer, has been promoted to head of connections planning, it has been announced.

Alongside Zohrer’s new role, Joe Brewer and Steve Ray have also been promoted to planning partners. Brewer will be responsible for the operational management of the team, while Ray will focus on product development.

“Placing Ruth at the heart of planning at Mindshare gives her the opportunity to take the principles and behaviours she has honed in the programmatic space and apply them across a broader ever changing media landscape,” said Matt Andrews, chief strategy officer at Mindshare UK.

“Aside from her undoubted capabilities, Ruth is a catalyst for change, with tremendous energy and enthusiasm. Her passion is infectious as is her drive to collaborate, experiment and try new ways of tackling problems. These refreshing qualities will be essential in taking our product, team, clients and partners forward on this journey together.”

Zohrer added: “I am delighted and excited to take up this new challenge, and to use my skills in programmatic to steer our planning approach in a new direction.

“Through experience I’ve found that the reality of where we are as an industry today falls short of the vision we pitch. My aim is to close the disconnect between vision and reality to enhance the advertising experiences we offer to people, and through that create greater value for our clients.”
