Mistresses Lures Over 4.4 Million To BBC One

Misstresses BBC One’s Mistresses lured more than 4.4 million adults to the channel last night for its second last episode, whilst ITV1’s bawdy Ladette To Lady drew 3.6 million between 9pm and 10pm.

As the four lives of the Mistresses continued to unfold, BBC One took a 20% share for the show in the timeslot, whilst the ladettes lost another of their gang but gained a 16.1% share for ITV1.

Over on Five, the new series of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation continued its good run, picking up an average adult audience of over 3.2 million (14.6%).

Earlier, hospital drama Holby City proved to be the most watched programme in the 8pm to 9pm slot, with 6.1 million adults tuning in, giving BBC One a 27.8% share.

Game show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? was seen by over 3.9 million on ITV1, giving the channel an 18% share.

Emmerdale won out in the soaps, gaining an average adult audience of around 6.8 million (33.9%) between 7pm and 8pm, whilst EastEnders attracted over 5.9 million (28.5%) between 7.30pm and 8pm.

Channel 4’s most successful show of the evening was Shameless, with over two million (12%) joining the grimy Gallaghers between 10pm and 11pm.
