New Chair For Ofcom Advisory Committee Scotland

Ofcom Logo Ofcom has announced the appointment of Thomas Prag as the new chair for the Ofcom Advisory Committee for Scotland, with immediate effect.

Prag has been a member of the Advisory Committee for Scotland since 2004. He was involved in setting up BBC Radio Highland in Inverness and subsequently was founder managing director at Moray Firth Radio where he won several Sony Awards.

He was elected a Fellow of the Radio Academy in 1997 and was the Radio Authority member for Scotland between 2001 and 2003.

Prag is also chairman of Media Support Solutions, an Inverness based organisation which specialises in media for development overseas.

Vicki Nash, director Scotland, Ofcom said: “Thomas’ experience in the media sector and his existing role as a member of the Advisory Committee make him an ideal choice as chair.

“The Advisory Committee has a key role to play for Ofcom in Scotland and Thomas will make a vital contribution to that.”
