“Mark has keen commercial instincts, a strong grasp of the TV market and proven ability to leverage brands into new spaces.”

Winterton said: “I am extremely excited to be working on these fantastic titles, particularly now as TX continues to extend its brands into new digital channels.

“I look forward to working with Charlie and the team, and am determined to play my part in the continued success of TX.”

He will take up his new role on 1 January 2008. His responsibilities will also include TX listings and forward planning.

At the last ABC’s, What’s On TV was the top title in the TV mag sector once again, although it suffered a circulation decline of almost 6% year on year (see ABC Results Jan-Jun 2007:TV Choice Closes Gap On What’s On TV).

TV easy was down by just over 16,000 copies year on year, giving it a circulation of almost 285,000.
