Ocean Signs TV Firm For Lightbox Campaign

Hitachi Poster Poster specialist Ocean Outdoor has signed electronics giant Hitachi as the latest advertiser to use its giant backlit sites around London.

Hitachi will use the 9×9 metre squares at Aldgate, The East Cross route and St Paul’s Church Hammersmith to promote its new high definition TV products, running for two weeks as part of a campaign using 96 sheets, 48 sheets and digital escalator panels.

Grant Branfoot, sales director at Ocean Outdoor, explained that the sites were beginning to be used by advertisers as part of wider campaigns, rather than one off promotions.

“Their combination of size, high quality and illumination provides unparalleled standout for advertisers,” he explained.

Ocean’s portfolio now stretches to 30 sites, all in major conurbations, with advertisers selecting its locations for their campaigns including VW, Max Mara, Budweiser, Apple, Eurostar and Sony.
