Origin awards audit contracts ahead of launch

Origin has appointed three auditing bodies to evaluate core elements of its methodology.

Audience measurement validation specialists Pure X Media has been contracted to audit Origin’s single-source panel.

Meanwhile, industry-owned auditor ABC will evaluate the initiative’s Virtual ID model deployment, and media and marketing analytics group Milton Data will assess Origin’s campaign reach and frequency implementation.

All three audits will begin this month amid ongoing beta trials of the Origin platform. According to chief customer officer Martin Lawson, the initiative is “on track” to launch later in Q2.

The appointments follow the conclusion of a request for proposal (RFP) process.

“We had strong interest in our audit RFPs from a range of industry practitioners,” said Origin CEO Tom George.

George said Origin selected Pure X Media, ABC and Milton Data “based on the considerable experience and expertise that they each bring to meet our needs”.

He added: “We look forward to starting the audit process with each company and delivering the trust and transparency that the industry expects from the Origin solution.”
