Origin Has New Positions Sewn Up

Just three weeks after a management buyout took the company out of the BBC Worldwide stable (see BBC Offloads Origin In Management Buyout), Origin Publishing has made two key promotions.

Cath Potter, who joined Origin seven years ago as editor of Cross Stitch Crazy, becomes publishing director across the complete craft and hair portfolio.

Colleague Anna Davenport is promoted to the post of creative development publisher for Origin’s craft portfolio, capitalising on her experience in launching 12 of Origin’s craft titles, as well as the website www.cross-stitching.com.

Andy Marshall, Origin’s MD, welcomed the promotions saying: “We have exciting plans in place across all our portfolios. Anna will be responsible for the launch of new brands as we move forward, and Cath will help us deliver the results we are after.”
