Global over-the-top (OTT) TV episode and movies revenues are predicted to grow 55%, from $157bn to $243bn, by 2028.
That is according to the latest data from Digital TV Research, which expects revenue growth of $17bn in just 2023 alone.
Advertiser-funded video-on-demand (AVOD) revenue growth (+139% from $38bn in 2022 to $91bn in 2028) is expected to outpace subscriber VOD (SVOD) (+28% from $102bn in 2022 to $132bn in 2028).
US market share is expected to remain dominant at 42% of all global OTT revenues by 2028.
