Publicis names Steve Bignell global head of PMX Lift

Steve Bignell has been appointed global head of Publicis Groupe’s PMX Lift, the holding group’s advanced TV buying product.

Bignell had been UK CEO of PMX, the group’s buying arm, since 2020. Andy Carter, PMX’s EMEA CEO, will now handle UK duties.

Before joining Publicis, Bignell had an eight-year tenure as ITV’s sales director. Earlier in his career, he spent a decade at WPP agencies MediaCom and Mindshare.

PMX Lift launched in the UK in 2022. It aims to help clients achieve incremental reach and access more valuable audiences across TV channels by activating data capabilities from Publicis’ Epsilon data offering.

In 2023, PMX Lift partnered ITV to roll out an addressable audience solution for advertisers wanting to better target desired audiences within ITVX.

More broadly, PMX aims to guarantee safe and effective media investment with premium publishers and online platforms through its suite of digital buying tools.
