Radio Times TV and radio listings magazine Radio Times is to offer guidance as to what’s best on the internet when its website, www.radiotimes.com, debuts weekly guides to online video from sites such as YouTube, iFilm and Google Video and the top podcasts available.

The site will also include two new blogs, both contributed to by numerous journalists and updated throughout the week, which take a look at why people watch particular TV programmes and the best in any particular entertainment genre whether that’s TV, film, radio or advertising.

Duncan Swain, BBC Magazines’ editor-in-chief for new media, said: “Our users are obviously interested in web content and we need to be guiding them to the best that’s out there.

“Our new content is aimed specifically at addressing the needs and interests of the Radio Times audience, with intelligent, entertaining, credible and comprehensive content in the right format on the right platform.”
