Rebus Reaps Rewards For ITV

ITV Logo ITV’s drama Rebus performed well last night, attracting an average adult audience of 8.1 million to dominate prime time viewing.

Going head to head with BBC One’s film Catch Me If You Can, with a comparable audience of 5.6 million, ITV’s crime drama secured a share of 33.94% compared with BBC One’s 23.73%.

However, The BBC’s earlier showing of Eastenders proved fatal to ITV’s Airline, with an audience of 10.5 million crushing the Corporation’s commercial opponent. Airline drew just 3.6 million in comparison.

Elsewhere, Channel 4’s screening of the film adaptation of Porridge provided the highlight of its schedule, drawing an average of 1.7 million. Five’s Larger Than Life – Eating Themselves To Death scored audiences averaging 1.9 million to top its performance for the evening.
